The studio aims to inspire audience to view the world in different perspectives which bridge art, science and philosophy to reveal its beauty, by conducting and communicating research, developing artefact and toy.

The studio took its name from Hermann Hesse’s Novel Magister Ludi. In the book, a scholarly community practises so-called Glass Bead Game, creating deep association between music, mathematics, literature, philosophy etc., to flourish their understanding of world.
The studio shares the same ideal of the Game and was greatly impacted by it.
The Game being an abstract synthesis of art and science, the studio aims to make that tangible.
